Create subgroups and filter them using the search box
The search box, represented by a magnifying glass icon, is displayed in the top bar of each group.
To start using the search box to filter the students into subgroups you must classify them. It’s important to use a specific code for its classification, in other words, not use characters that can be the same as some student information.
A possible classification system for a first subgroup may be, for example combining graphic symbols with text like # 1 #, G01, * 1 …
We are going to use as an example the Maths group, in order to classify each students in 2 subgroups: G01 and AB.
Press over the name of the student to access to their personal details. You will see the Subgroup field in which you must enter the name of the subgroup to which it belongs. In our case, Elvis Presley belongs to the subgroup AB for this reason, we will need to introduce this code and press over Save to save all changes.
Repeat the process for all students depending on the subgroup to which they belong.
Once sorted, click on the magnifying glass icon and enter the name of the subgroup to start the search, in our case the subgroup AB. Then you will visualize only the students who belong to this subgroup.
The search box also allows you to find the name of a particular student. Introduce its name on the search box (e.g. Elvis) and you will see only its data.
NOTE: In case of using the filter to display some students of a particular subgroup, the operations will be applied only to the visible onscreen subgroup. Thus, the filter allows performing operations to particular students, speeding up the reading and data entry. If you want to redisplay all students of the group, you must delete the text introduced in the search box.
